The event offers members, donors, and special guests the chance to see highlights from the collection, and to meet the collector and the photographer. There will be a virtual toast as part of the festivities.

All CKC Members, Donors, and special guests of the honorees and CKC, are cordially invited to join us to celebrate Center for Knit and Crochet’s opening of the Maria C. Vallejo Lace Collection, Photographed by George A. Leinonen on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at 2 PM Eastern, VIA ZOOM. CKC will honor Maria C. Vallejo and George A. Leinonen for their generosity in making Maria’s lace textiles and George’s extraordinary photographs of them, accessible to the public at Center for Knit and Crochet: digital.centerforknitandcrochet.org/mcvcollection.  Join us to meet and toast Maria and George, and to enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of how CKC digitized Maria C. Vallejo’s lace collection, with highlights from the collection.

Invitamos cordialmente a nuestros miembros, donantes e invitados especiales de CKC  a unirse a nosotros para una celebración con motivo de la apertura la Colección de encaje Maria C. Vallejo, fotografías a cargo de George A. Leinonen del “Centro de Tejido de Punto” y Ganchillo”. E homenaje lo haremos a María C. Vallejo y a George A. Leinonen por su generosidad al hacer que la colección de María Cé a través del “Centro de Tejido de Punto y Gancillo.”  Vamos a brindar por María Cé y George, y veremos una breve presentación sobre ellos con los aspectos más destacados de la colección. Tambien compartiremos los esfuerzos de CKC para catalogar y digitalizar la colección.
